This is Merlin, our 5 year old Ragdoll cat. He mostly likes cuddles, walks, eating and sitting in unlikely places.

His favourite thing to do is have cwtches (Welsh: cuddles) at every opportunity. I’m cwtching him here, but really I’m his second choice and he much prefers cwtches from his Mum (my wife).

Merlin likes to sleep on my packing table so that he can keep an eye on me as I work. Even when I need to actually use the packing table, he still sleeps on the packing table. I think he thinks it’s his packing table. He also likes to adjust my paintings with his tail if they’re too straight.

Merlin likes to help me when I’m taking photographs of my paintings. He’s terrible at it. I’ve explained this to him. He didn’t take any notice.

Here he is snoozing on the packing table again. It’s a flat surface, he’s a cat, so he’s going to lay on it.

Not content with inconveniently sitting on my printer, he decided sitting on a painting on my printer was better. I didn’t get any printing done that day.

When Merlin was a kitten he liked sitting on my shoulder admiring (critiquing) my artwork. He never had a lot of helpful feedback to offer.

When Merlin got older he progressed from sitting on my shoulder to sitting on my keyboard. I find mysterious edits on my website all the time.

My wife Toni paints too, here she is painting a portrait of Merlin, with real Merlin checking out her progress.

We put this unfinished puzzle in the studio to keep it safe from Merlin, Merlin found out and decided to lay on that too.

Finally, here is Merlin the Ragdoll cat in his favourite environment. When he’s not hanging around with me and my wife in the art studio, he likes going on adventurous walks in the countryside with us.
