Welsh Oil Paintings, Prints & Commissions

This viewpoint makes for a beautiful painting of Newport from the Parrog, here in Pembrokeshire. The eye is lead down the boat ramp to the water's edge, before travelling across the harbour to Newport's colourful cottages, finally to Dinas Head behind.
Parrog is a Welsh word, and has a similar meaning to paddock, but came to mean a flat place for unloading ships. In the context of Welsh coastal communities it was used to describe areas used for unloading cargo. Newport Parrog, in Pembrokeshire, here in Wales, is one such location.
