While driving near my home one afternoon this view of farmland near Cardigan caught my eye. In reality, a closed gate blocked the lane, but I decided to leave it out for my painting. I wanted to make it easier to wander into the scene and take a stroll down the lane toward the farmhouse hidden just out of view.
